Why use Article Marketing? Online articles are among the most reliable method of generating FREE targeted traffic these days. In the online community, if you have a reputation for writing good, high quality articles, you are guaranteed more than a decent amount of traffic.

But to maximize the amount of traffic from your articles, you’ll have to submit them to article submission sites. Basically these article websites serve as huge reservoir of online articles of numerous topics, ranging from car racing to child-rearing—pretty much any topic and subject under the sun.

So by submitting your articles to these sites, you’re taking a stand on a worldwide stage! That said, it’s good to note that just like every other business segment, we have both big players, small players, and even fringe players among the article directories.

Ultimately all will publish your articles online and endeavor to get the articles indexed by the various search engines. But how easily these goal is achieved has a lot to do with the article submission website in question.

The most reputable and the largest among them (those I would refer to as “tier one”) get your articles indexed by the search engines faster than the newer and smaller ones. Typically, the tier one directories have page ranking of above 5 on any search engine.

Another benefit of submitting with this category of article websites is that due to their sheer popularity, a lot of times people directly visit them in search of information (i.e. in search of submitted articles that deal with their needs). That is “bonus” traffic, besides the ones coming through the search engines.

From my findings, Ezinearticles.com ranks first among this class of article submission sites. I have been writing and submitting articles to the various directories since mid 2008. But even when I submit similar (not identical) articles to both ezinearticles and a few others, the ones kept at ezinearticles often outperform the ones submitted to other sites both in terms of search engine indexation speed and page ranking.

Besides, reader and other usage statistics are always higher with my articles submitted with them. Whereas I agree that anyone serious about article marketing shouldn’t make use of only one directory, I strongly suggest that ezinearticles.com should be one of the first 3 you should submit to.

Ultimately what will enhance the performance of your articles is the content or quality of the article itself—the usefulness and timeliness of the information therein. That is what will encourage people who encounter them at search engines to read to the end of the article, and to want to come back to your website or blog to see more of your messages.

To become an ezinearticles.com publisher, you first have to register with them at their website. They’ll request for your basic information, following which you’ll be given what I consider provisional membership status. At this time you’ll be asked to submit your set of articles. As a “freshman” your articles will take some days (7 to 10 days) to be reviewed before they’ll either be approved or rejected.

It is only when your set of articles pass their editorial guidelines and are approved that your membership is complete. Following that, you can begin to market your online business with articles for maximum traffic.

That of course entails that you know how to write the sort of articles that pull the most traffic. Like every other activity, article writing is a skill that requires some dedication to become real good at it. Here at LearnArticleMarketing.Info

I have listed virtually every aspect of Article Marketing your MLM business or Online business with ezine articles. I suggest you give your article marketing a boost by checking out this great resource.

When you are using Article Marketing Keyword Density is very important—it is a reference to how many times a keyword or search phrase appears in an article.

The placement of keywords within your online article is a crucial factor in search engine optimization. It is these keywords or phrases that determine the ease with which search engines will index your web articles. They also determine the page ranking of your article whenever people search for information related to your article at a search engine.

Choosing the right keyword density is the easiest way to gain high rankings on search engines, and this is what will increase the amount of web traffic you will get. And the greater your online traffic (which literally means visitors to your website or blog) the greater your online sales, and ultimately the greater the financial rewards for your efforts.

So keyword density is no doubt an interesting topic for all online article writers and marketers. But is it fairly straightforward? That’s another matter altogether.

The truth is that in the name of ensuring that their articles are noticed by search engines, a lot of the article marketers end up stuffing every sentence with a keyword. This can be too much of a good thing, if you ask me.

You the reader, how does it feel when your search for information takes you to a web article which title and topic may seem sweet, but as you attempt to read the article, you discover that there’s a word that appears several times in every sentence? Do you find that pleasant? I doubt.

Keyword density is something you really need to give yourself some room for trial and error so that you can determine what should be the right level of density of keywords or search phrases for your articles.

You should constantly monitor how your articles are doing at the search engines. Are you gradually rising in the ranking of search engines, thus increasing your web visitors and online sales?

If so, just know that your articles’ keyword density is OK. After that, simply focus on delivering excellent value—quality content— to your website visitors. In the end, that is what will keep visitors coming.

Do not make the grave mistake that many article marketers do: they act as if page ranking is an end in itself; as if the moment people visit their website, their purpose for being online is met. For that, they lace their articles with over-repetition of keywords and phrases.

When people do this, two things can happen: the first, as I stated earlier is that such websites lose credibility in the eyes of online visitors. Then, secondly, over stuffing articles with keywords can actually prove counter-productive.

What happens is that excessive use of key phrases in an article triggers an alert to a search engine. Search engine software often interprets these over-repetitions as an attempt to gain “false popularity”.

It is known as “keyword stuffing” which could deceive the search engine to give you high page ranking if undetected. But once detected, the search engine could go on to penalize you for over-concentration of keywords. Subsequently, this could adversely affect your website’s ranking. But you can avoid all that.

The bottom line is to consciously maintain a good balance when placing keywords or search phrases in your online articles. The percentage method is the easiest way to determine the number of times a keyword should appear in any article.

For the article title, upwards of 75% of it could be keywords. No problems there. But for the article body, the general recommendation is often in the region of 2.5% to a maximum of 5%.

Make no mistake, keywords are important. But you have to do it right in order to enjoy the benefits and avoid the pitfalls. The recommendations above should help you.

Article Marketing which is writing and submitting articles to ezine directories is now adjudged to be one of the best ways to generate massive organic traffic to a website or blog.

This practice can greatly increase your site exposure and product sales. Article submission also helps to increase your page ranking at search engines. For most online marketers, ezine articles have simply become an indispensable source of leads.

Your articles should all be optimized for good Search Engine results. The whole idea is to ensure that your article will come up in the first few pages of Google whenever someone searches for information in an area related to your article niche.

This is the way to ensure that online marketers who’re looking for information and tools to build their business will notice and read your articles and trace you to your website.

This can only happen if you left specific links in the article on how people can contact you. Many article directories give you two options on how to create this link: you either create a text in the author bio box, or you create a Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) author bio. What’s the difference between these two methods?

A text author bio allows you to insert your complete Universal Resource Locator (URL), so that a clickable link is created in your article to direct readers to your website or blog.

But with HTML, you are linking specific words in the article, rather than a complete site address. The words you use to create these hyperlinks are referred to as “anchor texts.”

Some webmasters report that hyperlinked words are easier to notice by Google than any other texts in an article. I don’t know. But my experience suggests than these two methods of linking to your website are basically two ways of achieving the same aim. However, if HTML is your preferred approach, fine. Just make sure you do it right.

FOLLOW THESE 3 TIPS:

Choose Unique Keywords: you should do a thorough search before choosing the words you want to rank highly for. Don’t just select right-sounding words and phrases as your keywords; you should be concerned about their uniqueness or competitiveness.

For example, how many other web contents are already targeting those words you want to anchor? Just know that if there are too many other online contents featuring your chosen keywords, it reduces your page ranking chances.

Vary Your Keywords periodically: if you use the same keywords for every one of your HTML resource box, search engines will suspect that you are trying to manipulate page ranking. So switch things up. Choose several keywords for which your website can also be highly ranked. Generally, links are better when they are organic and are seen to be so.

Write Your Complete Bio: it’s not enough to link your articles to your website. Remember that the article resource area is primarily an author area. This is where you sell yourself to your article readers.

So don’t get too fixated with search engine page ranking that you forget the most important things; providing your name, some information about yourself and your business, why you should be regarded as an authority in your area, and then finally a link to your website.

That is how to use the HTML resource box. Let me also reiterate that the HTML option is only advisable if first you have searched for and are targeting specific keywords in your article (as stated in tip no.1 above). Otherwise, stick with the text resource box option. Following these small tips will insure your article marketing success.

Article Marketing Tips-Why Use Article Marketing

If you are an Online Marketer, getting visitors to your website should be your number one priority. Not that it should be your number one headache too. Article Marketing presents you with an excellent opportunity to reach your potential customers without much hassle.

This is a form of advertising in which you write short articles that are related to your business opportunity. These articles are then made available for free distribution and publication in the online marketplace.

Each article would contain a resource box (also known as bio box) which includes references and contact information about the article author and their business.

Online article marketing is a subtle technique for advertising products and services via online article directories. There are quite a number of directories out there on the worldwide web, and most of them receive a high volume of traffic and are often considered as authority sites by Google and other search engines. As a result, your submitted articles are guaranteed to receive substantial traffic, free.

Some internet marketers try to maximize the results of their marketing campaign by submitting their articles to multiple directories. Sometimes this strategy works. Sometimes it does not. The important thing to note is that most article sites frown at this practice.

Moreover, most search engines now have software to filter duplicate content to prevent the same article from appearing multiple times during searches. Yes, some marketers are able to circumvent this filter by creating multiple versions of the same article.

But why go into that? In my opinion, a much better approach, and one which guarantees greater traffic, is to write new, separate articles, even if on the same topic. This way you do not run the risk of violating clearly-stated editorial guidelines. This is also the surest way of getting that much-desired traffic that brings you to article marketing in the first place.

It is also good to point out that article marketing is not purely a web-induced marketing strategy. In its various forms, article marketing is as old as the mass media itself. Prior to the arrival of the internet, articles have been used by both professionals and ordinary business owners to obtain free space in the print media.

This is because the information relating to a local business could provide useful content to a newspaper, at the same time providing local businesses with free contact information in the press. The paper gets rich features, and the small business would get wide and mostly free exposure. It is a mutually beneficial arrangement.

The arrival of the internet has only accelerated the use of this marketing approach, as well as making it easier to employ. Most other forms of Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing require a website, a hosting plan, as well as an advertising budget. The total cost is often beyond the reach of most new online marketers. But article marketing has now leveled the playing field in that regard.

Thus, by using article directories as free hosts, an article marketer is able to get free traffic via organic searches in search engines.
Well-written and rich content articles released for free distribution are known to substantially increase the credibility and popularity of the author and their business, as well as attracting new clients. It is one marketing strategy you do not want to overlook.

David Wood: Article Marketing Is Supreme!

David Wood has finally answered this question Can one build a successful online business solely relying on low budget marketing techniques, such as article marketing and online videos?

Are expensive online advert campaigns inherently superior to the free or nearly-free alternatives? These are thoughts that constantly occupy the minds of newcomers to online MLM. And there’s no unanimity of opinions on the issue; the answer you get depends on who you ask.

But the achievements of David Wood, an MLM high flyer should help us to decide for ourselves once and for all which is better between paid ad campaigns and free lead generation techniques. This revelation should particularly appeal to those who are either new to Multi-Level Marketing or those who do not want to spend out of pocket money to generate leads for their online business.

David Wood is currently one of the most talked-about figures in MLM circles. The guy has been around in the MLM industry for quite some. First he had risen from grass to grace and then to grass again in network marketing.

At first he had used traditional marketing methods to promote his MLM business—cold calling, town meetings, chasing family and friends, etc. Even then he achieved a measure of success with those methods mainly due to his determination. But his success soon waned and he quit MLM.

When he showed up again in the MLM arena, he instantly dominated online forums. First he had launched a blog which in a matter of a few months had attracted over 25, 000 visitors. What is even more amazing was the fact that the traffic-sucking blog was promoted SOLELY by online articles, and yet it consistently ranked on the first page of a prime search engine—Google.

As a result of this remarkable feat, most online marketers are now re-examining their own attitude towards article marketing.

How does he do it?

David is easily the master of article marketing. And although he occasionally incorporates social media techniques such as YouTube, twitter, and the like, article marketing still remains his primary method of attracting traffic to his website and blog.

He uses well written and unique articles and tidy videos which he submits to various directories and websites for syndication and traffic. These articles and videos are then linked back to his blog or the landing page of his website.

I mustn’t fail to tell you one of the things that make David Wood’s article marketing technique so successful: he incorporates the principles of attraction marketing into his articles. He promotes himself in his article contents!

Yes, if you want your article readers to come look you up, then tell them who you are, what you do and how you can help them with their online business. This is without prejudice to providing your readers with useful information in your articles. These are the best ways to make your website buzz with traffic.

This strategy has worked so well for David Wood. At the moment he generates well over 50 leads per day exclusively using content marketing. No one ever thought this was possible before now. All attention appeared focused on how to generate leads with paid advert campaigns, i.e. purchased leads. But now you know it’s possible for you to get quality leads from free online articles.

Article Marketing—Here’s How to Do It Right!

Why all the buzz about Article Marketing? Yes, why write an article about your business niche? The quick answer is this: online articles are the fastest and one of the easiest ways to begin telling people about yourself and what you do. It’s now recognized as one very helpful tool for creating massive awareness for any online activity.

Do you find this hard to comprehend? I give you a vivid example: imagine that you’ve written and posted some articles at some ezine directories.

Now when these are accepted, the directories make your articles visible to millions of their website visitors (besides those directed by search engines as they typed in topics related to what you’ve written about).

Suddenly an article you submitted to just one website is now syndicated in such a way that a worldwide audience has access to it. Let’s say in a month 300 persons read the article. And let’s further assume that out of this number only 30 persons (10%) decided to visit your website or emailed you asking for more information about your business.

Do you know what has just happened? You have successfully created potential affiliates or buyers for your products or services. And if you have a website or a blog, this publicity can potentially increase your page ranking.

And do you know that this feat can be achieved in a matter of days rather than weeks or months? Yes, the moment your articles are accepted by the ezines they (the articles) begin to bring traffic.

Here’s How to Do It: 1. Begin by thinking about a topic that you fully understand. Of course this does mean you ought to be a sort of know-all before you can start. Actually you can obtain additional information or update your knowledge about any topic by researching the topic on the internet.

You could also ask a mentor for ideas concerning a particular topic. The important thing is to provide factual, accurate, and up to the minute information about whatever topic you decide to write about. That is what will make people to want to come back to you the next time they seek information on issues.

2. Check out what’s in the news. Your articles will stand a better chance of being picked up by search engine spiders if the topic covered is currently in the news. Moreover if the topic is hot, you can be sure it will attract potential readers.

Having identified a particular topic that other webmasters are talking about, find a way to contribute meaningfully with your own unique article. Read through a few of what others have already said and say something else; add a fresh insight to the discussion. Most readers will love your article for its uniqueness.

3. Check against errors. Use a good word processor to ensure that your article is free from embarrassing grammatical and other errors. Microsoft word has always served me well in this regard. But that still doesn’t absolve you of the need to proofread the final article BEFORE submitting to ezines.

There are some types of errors that computer software just cannot detect. Just as there may be a few corrections suggested software which you may have to overrule. So proofreading the entire article when you are done writing is crucial.

5. Provide information about yourself. This is often contained in the resource box of the article submission page. Your name, email address and or website are vital information you must provide. You may also want to give a one-liner about your area of expertise in the resource box.

Having taken care of the 5 steps above, submit your articles to prime article directories and watch the viral effects that will follow. Article marketing is one tool no online marketer dare overlook. It is one of the most effective ways to gain massive visibility and traffic for your online business.

2 Secrets to Effective Article Writing

Using Article Marketing can help you build your online business. Imagine that an online marketer has just sent you an email or article relating to a subject you are having problem comprehending.

The article is supposed to contain key information that you need so as to implement this strategy in your own business. With eagerness you rush to your mailbox to access the material.

But there’s a problem: The article is so badly written that you can’t find the information you need. There are all sorts of technical problems with the written material—misspellings, incomplete sentences, dangling terms and phrases, as well as paragraphs that are so long that reading through them is a real test of patience.

Have you ever encountered a situation similar to this? In today’s world that’s become truly overloaded with information, it is vital to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively. Most people don’t have time and patience to read book-length articles when they need a simple explanation.

Most are in a hurry to accomplish more in less time, and so may not be prepared to forage through a lengthy and poorly-constructed article in search of a simple point that’s buried at the center of nowhere.

The more effective your writings are, the better the impression you’ll make with people, and ultimately, the better the chances that people will INDEED READ your articles after you’ve labored to write them. And you never know how far this can impact on your business!

The length of this article will not allow us to discuss this topic exhaustively. For now, let’s look at two ways you can improve your writing skills, what I call 2 secrets to effective writing.

Secret No. 1: Keep Your Audience In View: Who are you writing for, or what is the purpose of your article? Until you correctly answer this question to yourself, you cannot determine what format your article needs to take. One thing is sure; an advertising copy isn’t going to be written the same way as an email meant for a prospective client.

Additionally, whether the tone of your voice would be formal or relaxed depends on who your would-be reader is. Having determined who you’re writing for, write to appeal and to convince, but never to impress.

Bear in mind that your readers may not know a thing about the topic you’re writing about. So educate them in a most simple but effective manner. Start from the beginning—from simpler to more complex areas of the subject.

Secret No. 2: Pay Attention to Grammar: Effective writing does not stop with what you say. HOW you say it is equally important. You surely don’t need me to tell you that constant grammatical errors in your writing will make you look less than a professional. It’s essential for every writer to learn the rules of grammar in order to avoid certain mistakes which your spell checker cannot detect.

If you habitually jumble up words in your writing, that could seriously detract from the message you are communicating. Your readers may soon get tired of making up words for you, and your article will gradually lose appeal.

But then you don’t really need a doctorate in English to write effective articles which obey the rules of grammar. My personal research has shown that over 80% of grammatical blunders occur mainly as a result of carelessness with words—especially a stubborn refusal by many to PROOFREAD their articles before hitting “send.”

The remaining errors in this regard occur when writers use words they are not very familiar with. You can eliminate this type of error by either taking note of how such words are used by seasoned authors (especially the context under which they’re used), or you could look them up in a reference work.

If you don’t have the time for any of these two options, then stick to words you know. You can still put together an effective article with simple, flowing language. But if you are a professional writer, enlarging your vocabulary is something you’ll eventually have to give thoughts to, as it will add color and gloss to your Article writings.

If you can identify your audience before setting out to write, and if you pay attention to the rules of grammar, these will help you to write more clearly and effectively. And the more you write and practice these techniques, the more effective your Article writing will become.

Article Marketing is now seen in some quarters as the most effective online marketing tool. One interesting thing about marketing with articles is that you can virtually do it without spending any money at all.

That’s surely a piece of good news, particularly for one just starting out in online marketing and needs some publicity for their home business. In fact even some well-established online marketers are just now beginning to realize the pervasive effect of this marketing method.

Articles are among the fastest and easiest ways to put your messages in front of thousands of current and potential customers. It is also the best way to relate with prospects, educating them about your business and your expertise. There are some individuals you couldn’t effectively interact with any other way apart from online articles. Best of all it’s free, and it works!

One of the main reasons people are now turning to marketing with articles is that it has a viral effect. Take for instance that you wrote an article with the title “how to relate with newsletter subscribers.”

What happens is that the moment you submit this article to an ezine, your article is syndicated at various search engines, such as Google, in such a way that people who are searching for tips on how to relate with their subscribers will stumble upon your articles at a search engine. The person will read it, and if they find the article particularly helpful, they may further recommend it to a friend.

Moreover, since your articles also contain information about you as well as inks to other resources at your website or blog, chances are that anyone who finds your articles helpful would want to follow the link and access further information at your website. All these chain of events are taking place based on a few useful articles you might have written.

Now imagine that in the course of six months or one year you have written a hundred or two hundred interesting articles on various topics in your niche area?

What this means is that you will have put out numerous “baits” all around the internet which will ensure that people searching for information in your area of expertise must come across your articles and would come visiting your site or otherwise contacting you for personal enquiries.

If you do not have any time constraints, you could decide to really warm your PC keyboard and do your writing yourself, submit to reputable article websites, and watch the result. In that case you could reap all the benefits of article marketing without spending a single cent.

Nearly all the ezine directories would publish your articles for free, provided the articles meet their editorial guidelines. On the other hand, if you have limited time you could decide to contract the task of writing the articles to a competent article writer.

You choose a list of subject areas, and have the expert writer research them further, give the articles fitting titles, and come up with appealing articles which then become wholly yours.

You can then submit these to article websites. Hiring a freelancer or “ghost writer” to write your articles doesn’t cost much. Even some of the best writers out there can do the job at between $5 to $12 per 500-word article.

Article marketing is one tool you should not overlook as an online marketer. It is a great way to connect with a worldwide audience. It has a huge potential to increase your website exposure, lead generation, and product sales.

How to Brand Yourself Online With Articles

Are you branding yourself online? The most significant shifts that have occurred in the approach to network marketing in recent times have all centered on self-branding.

Take a closer look at Mike Dillard’s best-selling MLM courses: Attraction Marketing, Magnetic Sponsoring, and MLM Lead System Pro. What do they all have in common?

You guessed right, Self-branding; the need for a marketer to project himself as attractively as possible in front of his prospects and customers.

There has to be something about you that would make a customer want to patronize you amidst the maze of marketers out there. In the end, most times a customer buys a product from you, it’s often because of you first and foremost, not necessarily your MLM company or the product you’re selling.

Since we’ve realized that’s the way it is, it therefore behooves every network marketer to begin by marketing himself or herself. Yes, ever before promoting your MLM company or their line of products, promote yourself first.

The truth is, no matter how wonderful a product or service may be, if there isn’t a trustworthy person behind it, most people won’t buy. Successful online marketers are those who take steps to promote themselves.

Using Articles to Promote Yourself: The first requirement here is to get yourself a website or a blog. This online tool should focus first and foremost on you as a person and your expertise in MLM.

The aim is to advertise your leadership qualities in network marketing. Your goal is to attract and interact with prospects who visit your website in search of a solution to one MLM problem or the other.

This means you have to be well educated in your niche area so as to impart real value to your visitors. And in your articles, speak as an authority in addressing their needs. That’s the only way to ensure they’ll keep coming to your website, your ability to give value each time they come.

Begin by identifying your target base— your customers, their needs and what they expect to accomplish with their businesses, as well as what they expect from a MLM leader. Remember you can’t be all things to everyone. This is why it is important that you identify those you want to target.

Then use your articles to promote your knowledge, your abilities, and even your integrity. Advertise what you can do for your targeted prospects. Generally determine what values these prospects will see in you that they can’t possibly get from other marketers.

In your articles, do not presume that you’re sure your prospects are interested in joining your business. Your concern is to position yourself as someone who can help them succeed with their own MLM business. Continue to create and give value to them. These are the things that win the trust of prospects and create loyalty.

And when your article content is both informative and interesting to read, other websites and bloggers would rather link to your content than having to explain everything from scratch by themselves.

Again this increases your visibility and reputation, which is what self-branding is all about! It will help you to build a strong customer base. It is also the easiest way to win new customers.

Self-branding is more important than your products. The reason being is that even when your product lines change, you’ll still remain you. If you use well-written articles to brand yourself, the effect is that people will see you as a leader. And if you constantly deliver on their expectations and on your promises, they will trust and want to do business with you.

Articles and blogs are written so they could be read by online visitors. That’s the only reason they’re taken to public forums. Naturally the moment you post your new articles or blogs, you begin to expect readers, and you may well be anxious about how they would react to the message therein. That is normal.

Readers play essential roles in shaping up a blog. It often gives a blog an entirely new direction, as well as helping the blog owner to assume greater responsibility towards the content of articles posted on the blog and their quality. Indeed, many bloggers admit to being inspired in no small way by their readers.

So how do you assemble the type of reader-community that can inspire your blog posts? More importantly, how do you build a lasting relationship with the members of this community, your article and blog readers?

Start by knowing your readers: You can respectfully ask your readers to tell you a bit about themselves. It is even possible to glean some of this information by visiting your visitor (or commentators’) website.

You can also comment on their site’s layout and the topics it covers. But be sincere with your comments and posts. Empty praises can easily be seen through.

Engage your readers: Remember that your goal is to go beyond a normal blogger-reader connection. So occasionally pose questions to your readers. Ask them for their candid opinions concerning the topics you treat in your articles. Generally engage them in conversations.

That naturally suggests that you should try and respond to the comments on your blog. Maybe not all of them. But respond to as many as you reasonably can. You sure like it when other bloggers respond to your comments. So it goes.

But ensure your response is not a mere “thank you”. If they’ve expressed their opinion about something you wrote, then they’ve started a conversation. Carry on with that the best you can.

Welcome healthy criticism: Indeed invite readers to critique some of your posts. If that’s too hard for you, at least do not react too strongly when people disagree with some of your posts.

They too have a right of opinion, just like you. And it’s not possible for everybody to agree with you all the time. Constructive criticism can actually help refine your posts and comments.

Inspire your readers: Write on topics that people want to read about. There’s no hard-and-fast rule here. But what is more important is how you treat the topic. Write about what inspires you. And write excitedly about them. Motivate your readers with your style of conversation.

Show your human angle: You are a human after all. So don’t be afraid to appear natural. Admit that you can’t possibly know all there is to know about any topic. It’s also a sign of humility when you ask for readers’ opinions or advice. Are you funny? Then occasionally inject some humor into your articles as well as your comments on other people’s blogs.

Acknowledge your readers: You do this by talking about your readers in your posts. You can also link to their websites. Promote their sites for free, and invite your loyal readers to other regular visitors.

Contribute to their own discussions; a blog is supposed to link a network of people after all. And the truth is that the larger your blog community, the more popular your blog will become.

Just bear in mind that the benefits of all the above steps will not become obvious immediately. Initiating a contact is easy. But building a lasting relationship takes effort, ongoing effort on both sides. It won’t happen overnight. But it won’t take decades, either.
