If we work hard now, it will pay us for a life time I always say! The people who win the lottery usually lose all of the money almost as fast as they achieved it. Hardly luck. I once heard that LUCK is the acronym for Living Under Correct Knowledge, in other words if you keep a positive outlook and take action toward what you want to achieve, then LUCK will find you, very much like you said in this great post.
